It is completely unfair the actress and comedian Leslie Jones was bullied into quitting Twitter yesterday and it all started when Milo Yiannopoulos went on the attack with Jones. I called up Josh Atwell (@Josh_Atwell) to get his thoughts and perspectives on this ugly and thorny scenario. While Yiannpopoulis has been heavily vilified for his role as a leader of online vitriol, there does appear to be reason to think that he was also a victim of his hateful followers. This begs the question whether people should have full anonymity in online social networks like Twitter because it seems unlikely that people would say the hateful things they do if their words were associated with their lives, families, friends, careers, etc.
