Will VMworld 2016 be known as the coming out party for storageless architectures?

Stu Miniman (@Stu) of Wikibon and “the CUBE” fame, goes with Marc Farley (@GoFarley) on a ridecast speculating about VMworld 2016, in Las Vegas. Marc, Keith Townsend (@CTODdvisor) and John Troyer (@jtroyer) will be guests hosts on the show this year, which should be a lot of fun for everybody involved. Stu introduces the concept of storageless architectures that follow the example of serverless computing, allowing the state of technology to overcome the restrictions of traditional storage. The question is whether or not Software Defined Storage (SDS) will make that leap this year.
